All turned out well in the end I guess. I doubt Salford will need to return the advance, they just won’t get it again when the rest of the clubs do.



Could the RFL have legally been able to enforce the sale of players? I guess the sustainability cap would have forced Salfords hand eventually, but they rode it out and it paid dividends for them.



Just need Cas to get their takeover and stadium plans sorted and the clubs look in a half decent state hopefully - though still heavily dependent on owner finance of course.

I get why Rowley has done it, regardless of the reason he gave, he picked that squad as a middle finger to the RFL. But he easily could have picked a competitive squad for saints and he should have done so. The restriction should have been lifted once the take over was completed, I hope they do lift it so we can all just get on with Rugby League as normal.

This has been a poop show for the fans and the Salford players, hopefully the new owners can turn them in to a competitive team year in year out without the circus that surrounds them.

I wonder if the investigation into last weeks team selection will be forgotten about now.

Never mind the team selection issues .... Is anybody going to Salford on Saturday afternoon just to watch The Happy Mondays do their pre match and half time set ?? ... Or will it just be me in a primrose and blue bucket hat ??

I know of a few Wire fans that often go up to Salford games.
