| Is it a dip in form or a drop in the intensity in training, I'm sure jonh will be able to explain better than me the timing and peaking in training. I have a suspicion that we will ease back a little in "intense training" after the Easter period.

| It won't - (I hope).
More confident than ever, it's the 1987 season all over again for me.
In fact I would suggest that we are in the middle of our dip (if you can call it that), by that I mean we are winning games but not smashing teams to pieces like we were in Feb.
I'm not saying that we will not lose a game again this season, but if we do they will be one-offs, followed by a decent run of winning games.
Plenty time to go, but if we don't win the shield (i.e. finish top) then I will be slightly disappointed.

| A dip will inevitably come but the thing is if you keep winning now you can afford a dip later in the season. It also takes the pressure off us when bigger games come in the second half of the campaign.
No point looking ahead though. Just take one game as it comes. Starting tomorrow.

| key players staying injury free will play key role in the season , personally i think the wakey game will be a good indicator for the season
it will show 2 things for me , physical fitness and mental toughness
come away from this game with the points after the lord mayors show and i will be a happy easter bunny

| We have a big game against Wakefield on Monday and after that, squad rotation will stop us dipping IMO.
With squad rotation we will rest people as well as keeping people on their toes avoiding burnout and a dip in form, only us Wire and Hudds have the strength in depth to use squad rotation.
For me I would play Farrell the game after Wakefield.

| I know its sounds daft but we are going to have a bad run of games at some point. I hope we get it out the way before the playoffs.
Whether you like it or not with the current system it does not really matter who finishes top of the pile come September time it is the grand final winner that matters.

| I cant see us having a big dip tbh, we will lose the odd game but I just dont think we will go on a running loss of games we can beat anyone on our day.

| Dips often come with injuries and main players out of the squad.
The win at Saints was without half the starting pack, Coley, Riddell & Hansen.
The size of the squad together with their experience and ability got us through the game. The one noteable stat from Friday was that with 13 on the field Saints didn't score a point.
The loss at Bradford and the manner of it has made the whole squad know that a win depends each one as an individual playing his full part in the time he is out on the field.
We are now over a third way through the season with the one loss.
If a dip does come I do think the whole club is better placed to deal with it than we have been for years.

| We'll lose odd games. The team is in too good shape physically to go on a massive losing run. Not going to happen.

| Don't think we have peaked yet nether mind the dip. Looking at the squad I would say we look a dry weather team, our back row is big fast which bodes well for the summer. I also think players like Pig and Feka will take time to adjust to the new playing weight (last couple of games looks like it's happening) Then you have the likes of Goulding and Mossop who are growing and gaining confidence every week. No doubt we will lose games but even then I can not see the complete no shows that we have endured over the last few years. The big thing will be Roberts Tomkins Phelps and so on when the grounds dry and they can put the steps on looking at Roberts up to now we may have some special rugby to watch(touch wood)

| Dip will come in the form of an unexpected and comprehensive home defeat, but I am confident that we will subsequently grind out a few wins to get back on course.

| It is the strength in sdepth that is keeping everyone on their game. 1 Poor game and someone is waiting for your shirt.
We could have 5 players out injured tomorrow and backing up from the saints game it will be a big challenge to see where we really are.

| We already had it
Our run in at the end of the season is very tough.
Warrington at home
Hull away
Leeds away
Hudds at home
Hull KR away
Bradford at home
If we are going to struggle through a number of games it will be these as I feel we have passed through our first massive test very well!
We now have some games we should be winning on our current form, so lets hope we win these next 4 games for an 8 game winning streak leading up to Murrayfield.

You expect Wigan to go all the way?
You are going well but thats a big call to make although I think you will win your next 3 games pretty easy.
I reckon our back to back games at Hull could see our first "dip" of the season

I agree that it's a big call, but so far we've played Leeds, Saints, Hull FC and Wire once each - All the fancied teams bar Huddersfield.
We have beaten every one of (what should be) our realistic rivals for the top spot.
Why shouldn't we start to feel confident?
Likewise, Wire should be growing in confidence with 1/3 of the season gone and being 2 points clear in 2nd, with a superior goal-difference to everyone below them.
Let's see how you get on tomorrow first, but if we both come through this unscathed, it sets up a VERY interesting second 1/3 of the season

You should be confident but its only 9 rounds old so you shouldn't be disappointed if you can't stay at the top its a long hard season.
I can't see us winning our next two games if someone offered 2 from poss 4 now I would take it, if we do win them and Briers adds to the team without taking anything away in defence then I might start to think we could challenge for the top 2.
