Weak from Tom Grant to let Walker convince him to go to the screen. Not sure what the obstruction rule is any more, seen countless examples where the VR is checking whether it's the inside shoulder or not. Then on this one, it's clearly the inside shoulder and he still disallows it.
No issue with this. Tai was taken out the game whether it is inside or outside shoulder. The gap is only there due to the contact from Halton.
Tom Grant was weak in other regards - especially the Warrington players trying to influence the game. If there is an issue it is up to the Captain to speak to the Official. Fitzgibbon, Walker and Dufty all had their moments gobbing off.
Warrington have big issues coming up, with the next five fixtures Saints, Wigan. Leopards, Trinity and Hull KR. Without Gorgeous George they look fairly clueless.
No issue with the final decision as such. I don't know what the latest rules are, as they keep trying to make things objective, rather than just a simple, was a player obstructed.
But the fact that the try was about to be given, then the ref allowed a player to talk him into going to the screen, was very poor on the ref's part. Two wrongs don't make a right.
