I caught the tail end of an interview on the telly yesterday about the Yawion WC. I think it was Kieran Bracken(sp), and the main gist of what he said was something like



"There is less kicking, much more running and its much more entertaining, its more like Rugby League"



This morning for me its NRL Playoffs on at the same time as England v Argentina......................No contest.

I occasionally watch about 10 minutes of union just to check that it really is that boring...



It really is that boring.



Really looking forward to the NRL play-offs.

The 7 quid a month for Premier Sports is cracking value for the ammount of matches you get.

Don't know what i'm going to do on a Sat/Sun morning when the season's over.

It's not just boring, it's so damn irritating the way those toffs waffle on about it.

It's a dreadful version of rugby. Stop start stop start and kicking for a penalty. West Tiger V St George yesterday was an intense game with lots of skill on show. For me rugby league wins hands down everytime. In union Ita just fat guys mauling each other on the floor!

My favourite bit of Union is when about 20 forwards are all in a big heap near the try line. Pushing, pulling, stamping, scratching, no idea where the ball is at all, then low and behind the ref, clueless and bas blind as us goes. TRY!



I love that bit, so entertaining and then there's a kick to follow, I can't take the excitement.

Yep, and looking at the prices for the games, they pay a lot of money too. Maybe it's because toffs are inbred and stupid?



I mean, come on, look at Prince Williams teeth, he could eat an apple through a letterbox.

Don't forget the commentry with remarks such as "what a fantastic tackle" I still haven't seen one of those in union yet! The way Mason offloaded in his first ever game was embarrassing.

Some chips on some shoulders here, why not just ignore the game! Stinks of jealousy...let it go boys.

Wendyball doesn't steal our players for one. And it's quite a good game, shame about the people that play, watch and commentate on it. I can manage a MOTD if there's nowt on, if that Northern Irish lad isn't presenting. Conor Murray is it? What a d!ck.

I think its Tony Collins who has suggested that when Super League was first decided upon the powers that be should have taken the opportunity to rename the sport and get rid of the 'rugby' bit to differentiate us from the other code.



I think that'd be a good idea. Onion is nothing like our game, its confusing for newbies to have two rugbys and why are we named after a public school to whom we have little connection?

So thats makes it a reason to dislike the sport. NRL steals (as you put it) players from SL, the top 4 of SL takes players from the bottom etc. Don't you remember when we signed all them players from Union in the old days?



Lets face it, League (especially English) is now way down the food chain, Union is where the money and the big stage is. Maybe we could try and learn something from Union rather s than at it!

one of my mates at work was banging on about the "rugby world cup" so instead of doing my usual routine of criticism of RU, I decided to actually watch the game this morning.



Truly terrible turgid stuff - neither team looked like scoring a decent try - there was 1 line break down the middle, that no-one supported and ended up with a long pass to the wing. 30 odd penalties in the game, over 10 penalty kicks at goal (mostly missed).



Based on that game Kyle Eastmond will be a senstation in RU, IMO.

As my girlfriend said this morning it looks like watching rugby league where all the players get p!$$ed before they go out to play - they jump on top of each other, drop the ball and then stand around doing nothing for a bit
