Personally I am not impressed with BA. I fear that 12 months down the line we will be in the same will he stay or will he go position as this year. It does not help the players not knowing who the coach will be. Also I am not happy with signing more Australians, we should be developing our own players. The Aussie and BA's style of play does not appeal to me, there is little craft and that explains why we have no creativity at Standd off, loose forward or Scrum Half. 5 carries and a hopeful kick is so boring!
I suppose the over reliance on Australians is just a sign of the times. The higher quality home grown youngsters just aren’t coming through. Taking a more organic, homegrown stance on playing local lads instead of the Aussies would be like going into a fight with one hand tied behind your back unless all the other clubs took a similar approach. The R.R.L is ultimately to blame for this over reliance because they’ve made terrible decisions affecting the game down the years. I would rather see the number of imports slashed in a way that cannot be legally challenged, and watch a competition stuffed full of British born academy lads. A lot of people prefer watching Championship football over The Premier League, and a slight lowering of standards would hardly be noticed in Superleague over time if it meant more homegrown lads getting a shot.
